Cut2D user interface can be described as follows: the user can navigate and select the objects (i.e., generators) and cuts in the project window or in the relevant parts of the scratch space (i.e., disk) by left-clicking on them. The user can analyze and display the results in the project window, and can export the data (i.e., the result) as a file (i.e., to disk).
The file selections can be nested. For example, Flow-Through uses a project (i.e., one) file, sub-files (i.e., one per component), and individual cut(s) files. In the project file there are tags that define the component/project type as well as the set, if any, that is considered "free" from cuts in the project file.
For example, consider the file selector on Flow-Through, which displays all the components and cuts of that particular project. As selection is made on the right, the file selector shows the components in the project window and contains the file list definition ("list of files") the project manager ("Project") used to build it with the indicated cuts. d2c66b5586
