The death of Uma leaves Venkat alone in the jungle. Ten years later, he is found by Oompa, a wise-cracking Kasaba (migrant shepherd) who explains he was Uma's one and only love. Venkat and Oompa make plans to find Uma's family. En route, they meet and save a baby elephant, whose mother has been killed by poachers. A devastated Venkat is desperate to avenge his sister's death, but Oompa urges him to let the law take its course. Before long, a cunning poacher, Thane, becomes an unwitting ally to Venkat. Thane sends his thug, Kumar, to abduct Venkat and Oompa. A showdown with the poachers is put off, as Thane needs Oompa and Venkat to help him steal a precious gem, the Bhaskar Stone, which he can sell for a huge profit in Delhi. Instead of following them, Venkat and Oompa are captured by Kumar. Kumar makes a deal with Thane to capture Uma's parents, and Thane and Kumar plan to sell them to another syndicate of thievery. When Oompa is rescued, he reveals that Uma's parents are dead, but Uma is alive and safe. He returns to India to find Venkat, and they are reunited. When Uma learns the truth about her parents, she vows to avenge their murder. She and Venkat are captured by a gang of smugglers, in a daring escape that reunites her with Oompa.
